The Welcome Packs in COHO are a great place to share useful and important information with your tenants. When adding information into the Welcome Packs, you are able to embed YouTube links for your tenants to watch.
If you want to add a YouTube embed link into the Welcome Pack panel, the links will need to be added into the 'Info Card' section.
In this section, we'll look at the ways of embedding YouTube links into your Welcome Packs.
YouTube Shorts
First, navigate to YouTube and find the YouTube Short you wish to embed. Click on the YouTube Short to start the short playing.
Right click anywhere on the YouTube Short that is playing.
Click 'Copy embed code'
Paste the embed link into a word document or notepad to look at the link copied. It should look something like this:
<iframe width="458" height="815" src="
https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZFiV816zmuo" title="How to top your pressure upon your boiler, re-pressurise boiler, low water pressure plumber #TikTok" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You can clearly see the URL of the YouTube Short as it says 'embed' in the URL.
Select to copy the URL part ONLY. If the entire link is used or part of the link, it will not work.
Paste the embed link into the field for 'Video' within the Info Card on the Welcome Pack.
Click to 'Create'.
YouTube Videos
First, navigate to YouTube and find the YouTube video you wish to embed. Click on the YouTube video to start the video playing.
At the bottom of the video, there is a 'Share' button. Click the 'Share' button.
Click 'Embed'
You will now see that the embed link has opened out. Select to copy the URL part ONLY. If the entire link is used or part of the link, it will not work.
Paste the embed link into the field for 'Video' within the Info Card on the Welcome Pack.
Click 'Create'.
